Why am I being asked for more documentation?

From time-to-time, Dwolla and its banking partners may not be able to fully verify your identity with the information provided and require additional documentation to enable bank-to-bank transfers. 

If you are asked for a photo ID please upload one of the following forms of identification:

  • An unexpired, current, state-issued driver’s license or identification card OR
  • An unexpired, current U.S. passport If you are asked for a bank statement:

If additional information is needed to verify that you are an authorized signer on your connected bank or credit union account, you will be asked to upload a copy of a recent statement.
